Leandro Fernández is a comic book artist and creator, born in Argentina in 1973.
He has co-created books like “The Old Guard” (with Greg Rucka, Image Comics), “American Carnage” (with Bryan Hill, DC Vertigo), “The Discipline” and “The Names” (with Peter Milligan, Image Comics and DC Vertigo) and “Far South” (with Rodolfo Santullo, Puro Comic Ediciones). He also made a book of “Torpedo 1972”, written by Enrique Sanchez Abulí, its creator.
The comic book “The Old Guard” has been adapted as a movie by Netflix. It is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, with Charlize Theron in the leading role, Kiki Layne and a great casting. On the second movie the cast has increased and Uma Thurman, between others, has joined the crew.
Previously, he has drawn comics for Marvel Comics, DC comics, Dark Horse, Oni Press, and other companies around the world.
He’s drawn books like “Wolverine: Coyote Crossing” with Greg Rucka; several books from the Punisher MAX run of Garth Ennis: “The Slavers”, “Kitchen Irish”, “Up is down, black is white”, “Man of Stone”, and many others of popular characters like Hulk, Conan, Deadpool, Avengers, Daredevil, New Mutants, etc.
His last work is “Batman: Gotham by gaslight”, a long run written by Andy Diggle and published by DC Comics.
