David Lafuente

Illustrator, concept artist, comic author, youtuber… David Lafuente (1982), from Asturias, is one of the most versatile Spanish talents in the comic book industry. His bibliography includes titles such as Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book, Superman, Radiant Red, and Sinister Sons, which he co-created.

David burst onto the American comic book scene in 2008, illustrating the sleeper hit Marvel miniseries Patsy Walker: Hellcat, written by Kathryn Immonen. A year later, he relaunched the blockbuster series Ultimate Spider-Man alongside Brian Michael Bendis.

David’s most recent works include Spider-Ham, Harley Quinn, the bestselling Image Comics series Radiant Black, the new Eisner-nominated series Radiant Red, and the 2023 best-selling comic Knight Terrors: Batman.

Lafuente has also recently impressed readers with his variant covers for other books, such as Racer-X and the Eisner Award-winning series The Nice House on the Lake.

He currently divides his time between creating comics and developing visuals for video games and animation.
